Second album released in 1988, recorded with the same members as the previous album, and reached #6 on the US charts. This album strongly reflects Steve Vai's sound. It gives the impression of "packaging of individuality" rather than " flashy as rock".
Billy Sheen left the band after recording, and Greg's brother, Matt Bissonette, joined the band from the tour.

In 1988, bassist Billy Sheehan, who left DAVID LEE ROTH BAND after recording the album SKYSCRAPER, set out to form his own band. Eric Martin, who had released two solo albums at the time and was talented but had not yet made his breakthrough, joined the band. They were further joined by Pat Torpey, formerly of Ted Nugent and Imperterri. Finally, they welcomed Paul Gilbert, guitarist of RACER X, who was attracting attention in the L.A. music scene at the time, completing the squad.
They made a demo and took it to record companies. They eventually signed with ATLANTIC/WARNER and began recording. Despite a low budget and tight schedule, they welcomed producer Kevin Ellison and completed their first album, "MR. BIG". It was released in 1989. At the time, they were strongly perceived as "that band formed by Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert," and their bluesy side rarely received much attention.
The times were harsh for bands like them, and they struggled to achieve the success they hoped for in their home country, the U.S. Nevertheless, they grew into a tight band, mainly playing clubhouse venues, including tours as the opening act for RUSH and on a package tour with WINGER.

After leaving Mötley Crüe in 1992, Vince signed with Warner and began working toward the release of a solo album. He hired outside songwriters to write songs for the album.
Vince was originally going to hire Adrian Vandenberg as a lead guitarist, who had just finished his stint with WHITESNAKE, but just before the press release, Warner, the record company, asked Steve Stevens, who had just left Jerusalem Slim, the band he was in with Michael Monroe at the time, to join as a lead guitarist. However, just before the press release, Warner, the record company, strongly requested to hire Steve Stevens, who had just left JERUSALEM SLIM, the band with Michael Monroe at the time, and he joined. The drummer was Vick Fox from Enuff Znuff, and with a lineup including Dave Marshall on 2nd guitar and finally Robbie Crane on bass, the first solo album "EXPOSED" was released in April 1993. Incidentally, until the final stages of the recording process, Phil Soussan (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) was the bassist, but was replaced by Robbie following his departure.
This album is a MUST for Motley fans. The original Mötley Crüe went in a direction that incorporated grunge and industrial, but Vince has managed to express here the music that fans originally wanted from Mötley Crüe. This is a so great masterpiece!!

In France where I had longed for visiting from my childhood, I diligently had studied dancing, choreography and performing arts for 2 weeks.
It was very precious days to share my time with so many professional artist and dancer, and the many students who major in and have strong passion for performing arts from many countries.
Through learning art for 4 to 6 hours per day and Seeing so many interesting performances, I could experience many unique ideas, all of which I felt fresh.
There were always kind people who helped me and whom I could rely on when I had some troubles. When I spend my time dancing and talking with the other participants, I always could feel comfortable, joyful, and certain of being accepted possibly. I could feel relieved, be honest and natural to my feeling and inspiration, and challenge many difficult tasks and experiments.
How wonderful it is!
I was feeling those days like a dream or a magic that I wished it would continue forever.
I cannot clearly imagine how my future will be, but from bottom of my heart, I strongly thought I don’t want to stop walking this way, making my effort to make my life more global and borderless by creation of performing arts and communication with foreign languages.
Thank you for everyone. I wish all of your happiness☘ I love you❣

コロナ禍から世界中が回復し、Campingに参加する機会に恵まれている今、大学生でいられていることは、本当に貴重で幸せなことだと心底思います。
出国前色々あって大変でしたが、この夢を見られるまで、生きることを自ら投げ出さないで本当によかったと思いました。
