ナイトバロンはその波に飲まれ、岩に叩きつけられた。立ち上がろうとするその前に、三叉の銛が突き立つ。
「……もういい」
血に染まりながら、ナイトバロンは真顔で見詰める。
「讀者個頭俾你整污糟咗，快啲道歉啦」
大鯨は冷たい視線のまま、彼を見下ろした。

ナイトバロンは波に流され、霧の彼方へと消えていく。
大鯨は肩に銛を担ぎ、静かに月を見上げた。

霧が再び島を包み、波の音が静かに響く。
そのざわめきは、大鯨の勝利をたたえるように聞こえた。
