副詞的用法は目的だと〜するために〜した、みたいに英語の語順と逆に訳すけど
He lived to be ninety.
彼は生きて90歳になった。
結果用法だけ、〜なので〜だ、と修飾関係というよりは接続詞みたいな感じになってるから違和感があるわけだ。結果用法をとる動詞は決まってるみたいだし、暗記しちゃうのが良さそう。
