This longing, a restless ache,
fails to reach you.
In the twilight,
thoughts drift aimlessly,
today slipping into the night.
Feelings swirl,
a maelstrom sinking,
settling deep within my heart.

On her birthday, she was just missing her grandma, feeling that ache again.
Then… something straight-up magical happened.

A restaurant thing…
this tiny bird hit the window,
and then just—flew right onto her hand.
It stayed there the whole time, half asleep, like it knew she needed that.
レストランで小鳥が窓にぶつかって
で 彼女の手のひらに飛び乗ってきた

The bird, turns out, was a migratory one,
and normally, they’d never land on someone’s hand.
Especially with a dog nearby…
Even birthday candles flickering on the cake —
all the things didn’t bother it.
その鳥ってね ある渡り鳥で
普通なら人の手なんかに乗ることなくて
まして 犬が近くにいたり…
ケーキのろうそくがついてたり…
She was like,
“It felt like my grandma came back as that little bird to be with me.”
That moment was like the world whispering,
“You’re not alone.”
「祖母が小鳥になって寄り添ってくれた気がした」って
その出来事はまるで…

but for her,

one of those once-in-a-lifetime kinda miracles.

Vulnerable enough—
like a willow bowed by longing.
I lift my trembling palm
to pain.
The wind—
fevered, tender—
kisses the ache upon my face.
A rain of memory descends—
droplets burn
through hush and air.
Something unnamed,
still breathing,
stirs where silence keeps its prayer.
The voiceless wound still beats
within—
a pulse of love too deep for words,
a nameless bloom,
forgiven
for daring to exist.
And I,
within a single breath,
have spent my soul
to taste that life.
You—
my once-forgotten self—
when I turn
and meet your gaze,
shadow will not forsake me,
nor will I forsake you.
A childlike grace,
within the mirror, whispers:
“You need not hide anymore.”
Then—
dawnlight weeps.
A single tear,
warm as sunrise,
wanders down my cheek.
Truth speaks not—
it burns
within the between—
between dawn and dying day,
between silence and the heart’s soft refrain,
between forgetting
and the rest of peace.
There,
in that fevered seam of light,
life becomes
a tear
of moon and fire.
And within its quiet gleam,
you heal my future.

So sorrow would no longer drown me.

Has already begun to fade.
A love that no longer echoes,
Conversations cut short—
Somewhere along the way,
My heart had begun to weep in silence.
Did I have to ache this deeply?
What meaning could this pain possibly hold?
My tears have long since dried.
