ラップなどでも使われる、いわゆる「韻を踏む」というやつで、語感の似た単語を4つ使っているところがいかにも詩的ですね。直訳すると「謙遜と湿気が私を謙虚な人間にさせる」という感じですが、これは意味を問うというより言葉遊びの意味合いが強いかなと思います。
もうちょっと深読みすると、今のこの過酷な暑さに耐えて精神を訓練することで、自分の人間性が鍛えられる、とも取れますかねえ。そうとでも考えないと、この連日の暑さはやってられないかもしれません。
