0042:MOTLEY CRUE/NEW TATTOO
This new album was made with former Ozzy Osbourne Band drummer Randy Castillo to replace Tommy Lee, who left the band in 1999.
It was a return to straight-up rock and roll, as opposed to the digital feel of the previous album, which was made using DAWs. However, the chart action was low and the situation became severe.
Just before the start of the tour, Randy announced that he had cancer and took a hiatus. The band got by with Samantha Maloney, formerly of Hall, as the tour drummer.
Then, in March 2002, Randy passed away...
R.I.P. Randy.

0037:MOTLEY CRUE/MOTLEY CRUE
In 1992, the band was surprised by the news that they had fired their frontman, lead singer Vince Neil. At that time, there was no Internet, and there were no advance leaks. Frankly speaking, with that distinctive voice that is such a big factor in Motley's songs, who would replace him?? I felt it was a big mystery.
The replacement was decided to be John Corabi, formerly of THE SCREAM. I had to think a bit to remember... "Oh! they are the vocalist of a band put together by former RACER X members!"
Released in 1994, the album was influenced by the major currents of the time, grunge and industrial, and the soundscape was unlike anything Motley Crue had ever done before. At the time of its release, the album was met with criticism and sales were slow.
However, as a quality of music production, I think it's the highest ranked album they have released.

In 1988, bassist Billy Sheehan, who left DAVID LEE ROTH BAND after recording the album SKYSCRAPER, set out to form his own band. Eric Martin, who had released two solo albums at the time and was talented but had not yet made his breakthrough, joined the band. They were further joined by Pat Torpey, formerly of Ted Nugent and Imperterri. Finally, they welcomed Paul Gilbert, guitarist of RACER X, who was attracting attention in the L.A. music scene at the time, completing the squad.
They made a demo and took it to record companies. They eventually signed with ATLANTIC/WARNER and began recording. Despite a low budget and tight schedule, they welcomed producer Kevin Ellison and completed their first album, "MR. BIG". It was released in 1989. At the time, they were strongly perceived as "that band formed by Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert," and their bluesy side rarely received much attention.
The times were harsh for bands like them, and they struggled to achieve the success they hoped for in their home country, the U.S. Nevertheless, they grew into a tight band, mainly playing clubhouse venues, including tours as the opening act for RUSH and on a package tour with WINGER.

・FKA twigs
イギリス・グロスタシャー出身のアーティストで、本名はタリア・デブレット・バーネット。ジャマイカ系とスペイン系のルーツを持ち、幼い頃からダンスに親しみ、17歳でロンドンへ移りバックダンサーとしてキャリアをスタートした。その後、2012年のEP『EP1』で音楽デビューし、独自のR&B、エレクトロニカ、アートポップを融合した実験的なサウンドで注目を集める。2014年にはアルバム『LP1』を発表し、その革新的な世界観が高く評価された。
アーティストとしてはシンガーだけでなく、ダンサー、映像ディレクター、プロデューサーとしても活動し、音楽とビジュアルを強く結びつけた表現が特徴。『MAGDALENE』（2019）、ミックステープ『Caprisongs』（2022）を経て、2025年には最新作『EUSEXUA』と続編『EUSEXUA Afterglow』をリリースし、さらに進化した美学を提示した。タイトルの通り、官能性や陶酔感をテーマにした新境地で、世界的なツアーも行っている。
芸名「twigs」は関節を鳴らす癖からついたあだ名に由来し、「FKA」は“formerly known as”の略だが、本人は深い意味なく響きで選んだと語ることもある。身体表現と音楽を融合させた独自のスタイルで、常に新しいアートフォームを追求し続けるアーティストである。
