アダム・ヴァレンティス（Adam Valentis, 1967 – 2011）はアメリカ合衆国（ニューヨーク州ブルックリン出身）の文化批評家・詩人・ネット思想研究者。
■ 略歴
アダム・ヴァレンティスは、インターネット黎明期から「神性の形骸化」や「仮想空間における権威の乱立」などを主題に批評活動を行っていた思想家。「ポスト神性」論の先駆者という評価を得ている。
1990年代後半にはすでに、ネット社会における「崇拝の即時性と消費性」を指摘し、神や信仰、権威といった概念がいかにして情報化・断片化されるかを論じていた。
2005年に刊行された主著『Ghosts of God – The Death of Divinity in the Digital Age（神の亡霊たち――デジタル時代の神性の死）』は、学術界の一部では高く評価されたが、一般にはほとんど知られず、彼自身も無名のまま活動を続けていた。
晩年は個人ブログ「Valentis.net」に詩や短文を綴っていたが、2011年1月に最後の投稿として、上記の一文を残した。
そのわずか3か月後、自宅で孤独死していたことが報じられた。享年44。
死後、この一文がSNSや電子書籍を通じて拡散され、現代のネット文化やデジタル信仰を象徴する「遺言」として再評価されつつある。
