At the time of pre-production, the previous lineup was in production, but due to slow sales and intense negative push from the record company and management, singer John Corabi was fired.
At the same time, the record company was persuaded to bring back Vince Neil, who had been stuck in a solo career, and although he had gone to court, he was brought back and the original lineup was restored, and the album was released in 1997.
As an album, it's on the middling side, but has some reasonably good songs. As for sales, the album had its best sales, peaking at #4 in the U.S.
