Through the clear
Midwinter sky,
Stars sparkle
In the dark heavens,
Here lies
The northernmost edge,
If you pause your steps,
You'll hear only
The sound of your breath,
Even that
Melts away
Into the fine-grained snow,
In the extreme
Cold of the extremes,
I witnessed
The utmost beauty.
