Lately I haven’t been going out to busy areas to take snapshots of people like I used to. I realized that shooting snapshots is actually pretty exhausting for me — it’s a creative process that requires a lot of focus, and I just don’t seem to have that kind of energy recently. Instead, I’ve been shooting film more often, just casually and happily. Here are the ones I took yesterday.

『Ryuichi Sakamoto: Diaries』で見た限り、坂本龍一は最晩年、満月のたびに写真を撮っていたらしい。月で残りの人生を数えていたのだと思う。
ミュージカル『RENT』の劇中曲『Seasons of love』では、「"愛"で計るのはどうだろう」と歌っている。

「52万5600分ある一年、その大切な瞬間を愛で計ろう、愛という季節で計ってみよう」みたいな歌詞。

「あと何回満月を見られるか」という消えゆくカウントダウンと、一年を愛で計る（「愛で表す」と言っていいだろう）のとはかなり違うとは思うけれど、時報や秒針が刻む音のように自分の人生を刻むもの、カウントするものは何なのかを考えるのは、なにか大切な意味がある気がする。

僕はなにで数えようかと考えたら、なんとなく「花」が思い浮かんだ。今日の散歩ではいい花を見つけられなかったけど。
