The sun dips,
its western light filtering through the trees.
Today,
it felt more than warm,
almost hot.
Winter's wind,
so cold.
I hurry,
on my way home.
Another month of this year
is slipping by.

the flowers by the roadside,
bring joy to my eyes.

Been soooo long w/out a drop — roadside grass was practically screamin’ for water. I’m like, “C’mon clouds, where’d y’all run off to?”
Dams at emergency levels, everything bone dry…
Then finally, rain shows up and I lowkey yelled, “Yesss, we’re saved!”
