This is the time in my life when I choose to keep a good heart but become more selective about who has access to it. I’ve learned that not everyone deserves my kindness, my energy, or the love I have to give. Too many times, I’ve poured into people who only took without giving back, who mistook my care for weakness. Now, I’m protecting my peace by setting boundaries, not out of bitterness, but out of self-respect. I still believe in love, kindness, and genuine connections, but I no longer feel the need to prove my worth to those who don’t value it. My heart remains open, but not for just anyone—it’s reserved for those who appreciate it, who show up with the same sincerity I offer. This is my season of being intentional, of choosing quality over quantity, and of making sure that the love I give is met with the same energy in return.
