・Mandy, Indiana
イギリスのマンチェスターを拠点に活動するノイズロック／実験ロック・バンド。フランス出身のボーカル、Valentine Caulfield のフランス語によるボーカルと、Scott Fair を中心としたバンドの荒々しくも緻密なサウンドが特徴。メンバーには、シンセの Simon Catling、ドラムの Alex Macdougall も加わり、ノイズ、ポストパンク、インダストリアル、エレクトロニックなど多様なジャンルをミックスした独自の音楽性を生み出している。バンド名はアメリカ・インディアナ州の「Gary, Indiana」をもじって名付けられた。
2023年には、洞窟や教会の地下室、ショッピングモールといった特殊な場所で録音されたデビューアルバム『I’ve Seen a Way』をリリースし、独特の空気感と緊張感で高い評価を獲得。独自の実験性と混沌をあえて設計したようなサウンドが魅力の、今注目のアーティストである。

0065:VAN HALEN/The Best Of Both Worlds
This is the band's second best album to date.
After Gary Sherone left the band, the band decided to bring back Sammy Hagar.
The band began touring with Sammy in 2004. This album was released to support this tour. It features three new songs with Sammy on lead vocals.
After this tour, the band planned to make an original album, but the feud between Sammy and the Van Halen brothers surfaced and no progress was made, so Sammy left the band again.
Michael Anthony was also dismissed from the band, and the band was effectively disbanded.
Recommend:Conforms to the selection of songs on the studio album.

The search for a replacement for DAVE LEE ROTH, who left the band after a very short period of time, proved difficult. The band had a jam session with solo singer Mitch Malloy, and even went so far as to record a demo, but the relationship was amicably dissolved. Later, the band met Gary Sherone, lead singer of EXTREME, with whom they shared the same management, which led to this album.
Released in 1998, the album reached No. 4 in the U.S., but was moderately controversial.
I think it was a match between Gary's personality and the VAN HALEN sound, but I didn't want to judge everything based on this album itself, which was my impression at the time.
After the world tour that accompanied this album, Gary left the band, and this was the only album with this lineup.
