0049:VINCE NEIL/CARVED IN STONE
Vince's second album, released in September 1995, was a major change of direction from his previous masterpiece, and featured the Dust Brothers as producers, transforming the album into an industrial, alternative rock style.
Steve Stevens left the band midway through the last tour, and Brent Woods was hired for this album.
At the time, the album received considerable criticism and sales were sluggish. The poor sales of this album led to the return of Motley later on.
Re-evaluating the album now, 30 years after its release, I feel it's a pretty good album. The root of the evaluation at that time was undoubtedly the halation caused by the too big difference from the previous album "EXPOSED". I can't help but think that with a little more gradation leading up to CARVED IN STONE, Vince's journey of challenge would have continued while still being accepted by old fans.

生後数ヶ月間、大多数の人間の乳児は母乳で育てられるが、母乳の感覚的特性や、これらの特性が母親の食事によってどのように影響を受けるかに関する情報は乏しい。本研究では、母親によるニンニク摂取が母乳の臭気および乳児の授乳行動に及ぼす影響を調査した。感覚評価パネルによる母乳サンプルの評価では、ニンニク摂取が母乳の臭気強度を有意かつ一貫して増加させることが明らかになった。この臭気強度の増加は摂取後1時間では顕著でなく、摂取後2時間でピークに達し、その後は減少した。乳児が母乳におけるこれらの変化を感知したことは、母乳がニンニク臭を帯びた際に乳児が乳房への吸着時間が長くなり、より強く授乳したことから示唆される。乳児の母乳摂取量についても増加傾向も認められたが、有意差が認められなかったのは、乳児が摂取可能な母乳の総量に内在的な限界があるためと考えられる。
【Abstract】
Although the majority of human infants are breast-fed for the first few months of life, there is a paucity of information regarding the sensory qualities of human milk and how these qualities are affected by maternal diet. The present study investigated the effects of garlic ingestion by the mother on the odor of her breast milk and the suckling behavior of her infant. Evaluation of the milk samples by a sensory panel revealed garlic ingestion significantly and consistently increased the perceived intensity of the milk odor; this increase in odor intensity was not apparent 1 hour after ingestion, peaked in strength 2 hours after ingestion, and decreased thereafter. That the nursling detected these changes in mother's milk is suggested by the finding that infants were attached to the breast for longer periods of time and sucked more when the milk smelled like garlic. There was a tendency for infants to ingest more milk as well; the lack of a significant effect may be due to the inherent limitations on the total amount of milk available to the infant.
