大切に10年位乗ったけど、起業した会社が窮地に陥った時、泣く泣く手放して経営資金に投入したました。この車のおかげで沢山の思い出を作ることができました。左ハンドル5MTで、ダウンシフトのヒール&トゥも覚えました。オーリンズの車高調で車高を落として、ブースト圧を変えて、ホイールも軽く、タイヤもMichelin pilotに履き替えて、楽しかったです。箱根でカッコつけたフェラーリF355をぶっち切ったのが楽しい思い出です。

1982年にバイトをして貯めたお金で購入。峠族だった私は深夜の奥多摩や大垂水峠、多摩湖周回路を走っていました。
1984年の晩夏兄貴に誘われて、就職活動もせずに陸路で青森へ行き、青函連絡船に乗り北海道へ。
札幌の叔母の家を訪ねて、道東に向けてひた走り、湖を巡り、野宿もして、峠を走り、釧路からフェリーで晴海埠頭まで帰りました。
この時の思い出は40年以上経った今でも鮮明に覚えています。
美幌峠は霧さえ無ければとても気持ちよく走れる峠道です。
ところで、函館から1日かけて札幌へ走り、平日の札幌時計台近くの雑踏の中でいきなりクラッチワイヤーが断線！慌ててオートバイ屋さんを探して、刀のセパハンに合うちょうど良い長さのワイヤーを探してもらい(確か実車から取り外してもらいました)事なきを得ました。これが無かったら本当にやばかった。
東京からツーリングで来てる、と言ったら『何とかしてあげなきゃ』と思ってくださったのか、とても助かりました。感謝してます。
それからはスペアのワイヤーケーブルを常にシートの下に入れてました。

Born in Louisiana, USA, 1961
Freddie Spencer became familiar with dirt track racing from the age of four and began road racing in earnest at sixteen. He made his Superbike debut in 1980, initially riding Ducatis and Kawasakis, before signing with American Honda in 1981. He began competing in the AMA and simultaneously entered the World Grand Prix (WGP), finally making his international breakthrough. Then, in 1983, at the age of 21, he won his first championship by prevailing in a fierce battle against Kenny Roberts, the pioneer of American riders, setting the record for the youngest champion in history at the time. Furthermore, in 1985, he became the first rider in WGP history to win the GP250 and 500 double title. This record still stands unbroken today. Although injuries prevented him from returning to the forefront in his later years, his brilliance remained undiminished. He is a rider who remains in both memory and record.
