Sometimes I find it difficult to talk with someone in a language other than Japanese.I usually post questions about English on an app named HiNaive.Once I asked how to compliment someone without saying good and for various ways to say it. One person suggested me many words and slangs, and explained that Awesome means “so good” and “average”.So I appreciated and replied with “awesome”. I meant so good, but he replied, “do you mean average?”He seemed to have taken it to mean “not bad”.Then I thought he was just kidding me, but he’s told me some better ways to say good, I regretted a little not using one of them.
