80. Do you think festivals are important for a society?
I believe that festivals play an important role in promoting culture. They offer many unexpected opportunities for people who hardly access such events in their daily lives.
In the case of classical music, La Folle Journée, held in Tokyo every spring, is one of the largest and most celebrated classical music festivals. I enjoyed it during my freshman year.
This festival allows people to go through a wide variety of musical styles from easy-listening pieces to complex and academic works. As a result, the industry gains new audiences, and culture can continue to grow with refined taste.
It is crucial to spread the culture to those who are fairly distant from it. I think that festivals can greatly help this process.

Once I try to write about concrete ideas, I suddenly struggle to express myself. Moreover my argument lose coherence. 😇
