昨日母とうちの1番好きなBL小説「天官賜福」について1時間ほど議論したので話した内容をメモ。とても楽しい時間だったから記録に残す！！

One of tgcf’s theme throughout the book is about finding the third option, no matter how bleak it seems to be. Most of the time, the third option fails. Yet, Xie Lian still tries, over and over again. It frustrates everyone. Including the readers. My mom was complaining about it too. He’s just too stubborn in his idealistic ways, and trying to have other people see the world as he sees too. As with Lang Qianqu, his disciple. I guess as a teacher, a student will always be a student, a child. Adults tend to like to hide how ugly the world actually is to children.
Despite how frustrating Xie Lian can be, I love how he sticks to his belief even after all that suffering. It’s foolish, but brave. Just like what Hua Cheng says once during the book.
It’s hard for my mom to relate to Xie Lian’s idealism.
