老いは燃え上がり、日の暮れに狂乱すべきだ
怒れ、怒れ光の消えゆくことに抗え

賢者も死に際には闇こそ正しきと知る
だが彼らの言葉は稲妻を分かつこともなく
穏やかにあの良き夜へ去ってはならない

善き人よ、最後の波が過ぎ去り、いかに輝かしく
その儚き行いが緑の湾で踊れたか叫びながら、
怒れ、怒れ、光が消えゆくことに。

太陽の飛行を捕らえ歌った荒々しい者たちよ、
遅すぎたことに気づく、その旅路を嘆いたと、
穏やかにあの良き夜へ去ってはならない。

死に瀕した厳かな人よ、眩い眼差しで見る
盲目の眼も流星のように輝き、歓喜し得たのだと
