The moon reflected upon the water is beautiful.
Yet should I leap to grasp it,
the moon would vanish in ripples,
my body swept away by waves,
and all I could do is embrace with my whole being
the sensation of the moon dissolving,
the very act of losing it.

Like a serpent, pain crawls and coils within me.

The endlessly recurring cry of sorrow—
that is what loss means to me.
